July 2, 2025 | Day 13
Wednesday, July 2, 2025 | Day 13
Idaho Falls, Idaho
This morning we packed up our campsite and drove to Idaho Falls. We dropped off laundry for same-day wash & fold, then headed to the Idaho Falls Public Library. Xiomara and Kaleo enjoyed watching the koi in the library’s pond. They were also excited to discover that the children’s section has mini shopping carts for kids to use as they select books.

Later in the afternoon we walked along the Greenbelt Trail on the Western side of the Snake River, which features unique benches and several sculptures. While Jonny put up the drone to get some aerial footage of Idaho Falls (see photos at the top of this blog post) the kids and I walked through the Japanese Friendship Garden. Jonny eventually met up with us further south along the waterfront where there are beautifully landscaped tiered rock gardens. We picked a bunch of black raspberries that could’ve used a couple more days to ripen, but they were still really good—just a little tart.

We picked up our clean laundry, grabbed some groceries at WinCo, ate sandwiches for dinner in the Target parking lot, then hit the road.
