Jonny spent the day with Ty’s brother, Tennyson, doing a photo shoot at his family’s ranch. He captured their regular routine, which starts before dawn. Tasks for the day included installing posts for a new solar powered electric fence, herding cattle with dogs Tennyson trains, and harvesting hay. Today was extra special because Tennyson’s twelve-year-old son operated the tractor pulling a rotary hay rake on his own for the first time — a process that gathers cut hay into rows so it can dry evenly before baling. Xiomara, Kaleo, and I wandered over to the ranch later in the afternoon, where the kids were able to ride horses and go for a swim. Jonny finished out the day with a run alongside Ty and his cross country team.
