Bend, Oregon
Yesterday evening, after spending the day with Eloise, Joe and Lois at their home, we drove to Bend, Oregon. Xiomara spent much of the drive working on an activity sheet her 8-year-old cousin, Ejvindr, made for her. See below the finished product.
Along the drive we made a stop at the pullout for Corbett Sno-Park (Located at US-20 & NF 2076) so Jonny could get a drone shot of Mt. Washington. The kids enjoyed stretching their legs and scootering.
Today, June 23, we spent the day with our new friend Miles. This teen knows how to have fun. We met at the pump bike track, hung out at the skate park, stopped by his house to meet his chickens, and ended the day with a dip in the Deschutes River at the First Street Rapids Park. We had a fantastic day getting to know Miles and his mom, Leah, and experiencing the active outdoor lifestyle that is unique to Bend. Our friend Kipp is hosting us while we are in Central Oregon. After our shoot with Miles we met Kipp at Active Culture Cafe which has a great outdoor play area for young kids. We ordered the Big Salad (partially because it sounded delicious but mostly because it made me think of Seinfeld), Not Your Mama’s Nachos, and the Honey-Lavender Bloom Shake. I loved everything and can’t wait to go back someday. Stop by if you find yourself in the neighborhood!
